brain drain

Increase in going
After industrial revolution there has always been human migration from east to west especially from Indian subcontinent.
In late 19th centaury a new farm of migration started and here came the concept of studying abroad.
And thereafter there has been an increment in this. Some basic reasons are
good university
good job opportunity after study
Western luxurious lifestyle.

After independence some more reason supported the trend
easy bank loans
university exchange programs

Facing racism
So far the going is good but here come the problems and the biggest one is racism along with its new version after the 9/11 incident which is “9/11 racism.” For example:-

22-year-old Badri Singh gave up his lifelong dream of getting an American education and returned to India. Why because he was worn out by "9/11 racism."
Mohammad Ikball a student from Newyark says that sometimes here we have to face worse condition than my relatives face in Pakistan as they are migrated from India, after 9/11.
Indian student are made fun of for not knowing English. Now it's starting all over again, after 9/11 people make students think as if they are criminal.
Some times Indian students face problems unfortunately because they, either live with Pakistani or Bangladeshi student, or speak, or look like them.

We can understand the extant of the problem that some time even students are killed. For example:-
Chandrasekhar Reddy Komma and Kiran Kumar Allam, two PhD students from India at the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, were murdered on Dec. 13 sources said it was a racism case.

This can affect the movement of Indian student to study abroad
So far reduction in no. of students going abroad has not been seen of course the rise has been decreased; govt. sources say that in near future there may be a sharp decrease.
And then the consequences may be like:-
Pressure on govt. for no. of seats.
Employment for the fraction of student used to be abroad.
Country as a whole would be benefited by the brains.
We would come across the extreme of cut throat competition.
In latter years NRIs income would decrees.

What govt. can do?
The best remedy would be, stop going to abroad for higher education or employment. Our home is the best place for us. Others home, we are always guests.
1. Our Govt. should bring in mass change in education system where in one can pursue the education in which he/she is interested. Remove control of govt. from education system. Today most educational institutions are run by govt. Why should we limit the number of engineering seats? Medical seats? All these should be removed. Taken into account that value education would be there.
2. As the impact of Indian govt. is increasing in the world arena so govt. can use it as a weapon to force the respective govt. to be answerable. For example:-.
Central Islip High School suspended a handful of students who made racial comments to fellow students from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh and this was done only after govt. intervention.
Govt. should motivate NGOs like a Chennai based organization is planning to groom Indian students abroad as "cultural ambassadors" to spread awareness about Indian history and heritage across the globe.
More often student face these problem out side the university campus while working for there livelihood if govt. provide them reasonable financial help it can at least reduced.
At the end
I think, better lead a simple student life, do not showoff, student concentrate on studies, and be polite with others
